This excellent Shiraz is an prime example of the craft of cool climate winemaking. Utilising grapes sourced from the Canberra District and a Jimmy Watson Trophy-winning winemaker, this wine is usually sold for around $20 a bottle. Due to an excess of stock and a new vintage coming through, the winery has agreed to release a limited amount as a cleanskin at a very special price.
More elegant and refined than the big versions of this style from warmer districts, this Shiraz has aromas of plums, white pepper and cloves leading onto a bright palate reminiscent of red fruits.
